Our Work

Our mission is focused on unlocking the transformative potential of education in jumpstarting innovation in India. We work with higher education institutions to design and support programs that integrate new methods of teaching and learning into the existing undergraduate engineering curriculum. By cultivating such maker learning ecosystems, we hope to contribute towards developing a nation of makers, – the next generation of master innovators, real problem solvers, confident builders, and ethical leaders.

Tinkerers’ Lab

Student led facilities that embody our learn-by-doing philosophy, helping to  produce engineers and technologists who traverse the twin world of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice with equal ease.

Collaborative Classrooms & Project Based Courses

Disrupting traditional divisions between classrooms and lab spaces our collaborative classrooms promote Outcome Based Engineering Education (OBE) by creating active learning spaces that encourage students to test concepts, build prototypes and find solutions to real life problems.

Invention Factory

An intensive seven week summer workshop conducted in partnership with US Cooper Union Professors Alan Wolf and Eric Lima (Founders), to teach students how to invent, build prototypes and patent their inventions.

“Working in TL fulfilled the conception I had while preparing for JEE, about how engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology ought to be...It is true that most of the project done at TL are hobby projects, spontaneous in nature, not goal-directed and often unfinished.
